On November 2nd , 2015, [from 10.00 to 18.00 CET at the Conference Centre of the Delft University of Technology ] the Netherlands Academy for Technology and Innovation (AcTI) hosted the 2015 Annual Conference of Euro-CASE, the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering. For this occasion, AcTI converged its annual Innovation Conference and the Euro-CASE Annual Conference, extending it to a high level European Conference inspired by the grand societal challenges: Engineering Smart Cities of the Future.
The Conference addressed the question which influence engineering, technology and innovation can and will have on the development of smart cities. The focus was on finding, developing and realising new, better and more exciting solutions for our future cities. This requires a dynamic interaction of vision, public administration and implementation by innovative companies. During this conference the long term vision on the development of smart cities serves as a starting point and base line.
