Highlights 2023

  • May: At ATV’s Annual Assembly a new five-year project ‘Guide to a Resilient Denmark’ was launched. It is ATV’s most ambitious effort yet to shape and accelerate Denmark’s sustainable transition. ATV also elected its new President, Carsten Toft Boesen, CEO, NIRAS, who took over from Anders Bjarklev. ATV Presidents are elected for a three year-period.
  • November: ATV held its annual Technology Summit at which a new report ‘Strategic Technologies for Denmark’ was presented; it specifies 12 technology areas that are critical for Denmark’s future competitiveness and prosperity and is part of ATV’s call for a National Danish Technology Strategy.
  • In Spring 2023, the Young Academy of Technology, Science, and Innovation was established as an independent entity under the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV). The purpose of YATSI is to strengthen applied research and innovation in the technical sciences, strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, while also providing some of Denmark’s most talented young researchers and engineers with a public voice to influence decision-making on topics related to science
