Highlights 2023

  • In May 2023, MISSION KI was launched, a joint project between acatech and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, funded with 32 million euros. The research and development project is one of the flagship projects of the federal government’s digital strategy and is intended to strengthen the digital competitiveness of the German economy.
  • German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was the keynote speaker at the acatech gala in autumn 2023, attended by more than 700 guests from politics, science, business and society. The main themes of the event were sovereignty within the transformation, and the contribution made by technological innovations.
  • The acatech Senators met for their annual meeting in June 2023 at Airbus, the aerospace company located on the outskirts of Munich. The panel discussion made it clear that digital technologies and societal expectations
