22 Oct Reuse of water sources in a production environment

CNR, INFN, ITT and Politecnico di Torino consortium
2010
Water represents a primary resource, essential for the future of our generations that must be more and more protected and preserved from an arbitrary and negligent use. Therefore, the sustainable management of water resources has become a challenge for the future, especially for the production sector, that must adopt the best actions to reduce its own impact on these limited sources. The seminar is the opportunity to be updated about the rules on water protection and related fulfilments and controls in the production sector. Moreover, it is the occasion to know some business experiences in sustainable management of water resources and the current quality of superficial and subterranean waters in Veneto Region.

21 Oct Yellow pages for innovators in Lombardy

CNR, INFN, ITT and Politecnico di Torino consortium
2010
The guide aims at a detailed mapping of  infrastructural actors of the research and innovation system in Lombardy region. Enterprises are in the center of the innovation process: they have the responsibility and the interest in converting the results of R&D activities in goods and services for the market, and of creating value through the production and commercialization of new products. But this is not enough, other institutions are indispensable in an advanced and effective innovation system. First of all universities and public research organizations which supply the necessary higher education to researchers, but also other structures and services are needed: normative, certification, patent offices,  ICT infrastructures, statistics, test and measurements centers, as well as technology transfer structures, incubators, science parks. And on other levels: financial institutions, as seed and venture capital organizations, with specialization in the creation of and support to high tech start up and spin off companies.

18 Oct Bio energies development: Instruments for the feasibility analysis of energy conversion facilities.

Engineering Academy of Slovenia (IAS)
2009
The aim of the European Parliament’s “climate-energy pack”, whose target is to increase up to 20% renewable energy consumptions within the 2020, attributes to biomass a basic role in the future energy scenarios. Therefore, the use of bio energies represents, currently, an interesting opportunity not only for environmental and economic benefits, but also for a local development. The seminar illustrates the present opportunities to develop the three energy chains of wood biomass, biogas and liquid biofuels, as well as to illustrate some of the most interesting experiences realised in Regione Veneto. During the seminar, much time is devoted to the presentation of two software, realised by Itabia and CRPA, for the feasibility evaluation and the technical-economic analysis concerning the realisation of energy conversion plants, with particular attention to biogas production.
