The paper makes a number of proposals to remedy the following: an effective institutional and legal framework, improving the support scheme of high-efficiency cogeneration and cost allocation system, using binomial tariff, discouragement the disconnections from district heating, use with priority the biomass, promoting industrial cogeneration, understanding and taking into consideration the investor's conditions in this area, soultions of restructuring the existing district heating systems by concession.

This paper analyses the opportunity of accomplishing a navigable link between Bucharest and Danube – Trans-European Transport Corridor VII. There are summarized the studies / projects developed for this navigable link from the late nineteenth century, as well as the works performed in 1986-1990, including the dysfunctions caused by their suspension / abandonment.

Considering that transport modes are suited for certain market areas, it is proposed to shift from the existing concepts of inter-, multi- and co-modality to the generalizing concepts, theories and models in order to bring transport modes into an equivalent logistics space where the mobility systems are comparable and capable of cooperation at various levels: companies, logistic chains, urban corridors, urban intermodal platforms etc.
