On climate and energy policies of the European Union. The document deals with matters of the energy safety of EU and its member states, employment, economy and its competitiveness.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2012
The work analyses the policies developed within the EU on public transport in large urban areas, the benefits from the “electrification” of transport means in terms of reducing pollution and increasing energy efficiency.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2012
This paper attempts to examine the issue of air conditioning which must meet the following requirements: to conserve the energy, to protect the environment and to be compact as geometry. For this purpose are presented air conditioning refrigeration systems that use renewable energy sources (solar energy), natural refrigerants for environment protection, under international norms and compact heat exchangers (plate, microchanels).

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2012
The aim of this paper is to give a snapshot of the possibility to introduce hydrogen into urban mobility in spite of the still existing technological drawbacks. A case study analyses, for a given situation, is proposed to be elaborated as an experimental application.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2012
Our paper presents general aspects regarding renewable energy and its technologies. We are summarizing and comparing the characteristics of the five existing energy sources: photovoltaic, wind, geothermal, bioenergy and tidal energy.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2013
The paper deals with the hydropower development having in mind that water is a strategic resource, requires to be nationally managed based on sustainable development principles, according to an unitary legal framework.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2013
This paper supports the validity of green surface integration solutions by analyzing their effects on indoor climate, in comparison with conventional systems. The analysis is based on computer simulated models of the heat transfer phenomena under variable conditions, with respect to external climatic parameters influenced by the Heat Island effects.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2013
The authors present the development of a consistent modeling and simulation approaches to correctly describe the realistic behavior of wind turbines. The Hybrid Engineering allows simulation and optimization of the performance of mechanical systems for structural integrity, noise and vibration, acoustics, system dynamics and durability, from the initial concept to the complete modeling and simulation of components and the full wind turbine.

Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (ASTR)
2013
The paper presents the authors' theoretical and experimental research in the field of numerical simulation of fluid transients from the pipelines of the high head hydropower units, used for frequency control in large power systems including wind and solar unpredictable energy sources.
